Toto are looking for a Registered Manager to lead our new 2 bed home in Horwich, caring for children with learning and physical disability.
Are you currently an experienced Registered Manager with aspirations of making a big impact within a small organisation? Would you relish the opportunity to create a home from scratch; leading on culture, recruitment, homes design and ethos.
Working closely with your Deputy Manager, you will ensure that we provide exceptional experiences and outcomes for our children, making wonderful memories along the way.
You will lead by example, promoting the vision, mission, and values of Toto in all aspects of work.
Ensure that the homes experience high level quality assurance processes and comply with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 at all times. Where action is required you will implement timely and effective plans to affect positive change.
To participate in all matters relating to placement referrals. This will include requesting and reviewing all information pertaining to the child and arranging visits to the child’s home, placement, and school. This may involve travel and overnight stays as required.
You will ensure that your home has a strong safeguarding culture, ethos and that it is both a safe place to live and work.
You will ensure that your home operates in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
To ensure the home meets and exceeds the standards and expectations contained in its Statement of Purpose as well as fully complying with legislative frameworks and the SCCIF
Ensure all child centered and homes records are completed in the requisite timescales with an emphasis on high quality reporting, recording and care planning evidence.
Promote a trauma-informed, therapeutic care approach underpinned by PACE principles.
To promote the importance of stakeholder feedback and how this underpins our approaches to quality assurance, most importantly focusing at all times on the voice of the child.
Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings to promote continuous professional development.
Complete manager audits and Regulation 44 quality of care reviews, alongside leading on regulation 44 visits.
Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high standards of care.
Participation in senior out of hours on-call rota and regular on-call as required.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or the willingness to work towards
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management or senior role within a children’s residential home
Experience of working with people with complex physical, emotional and learning needs
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability
Good quality writing and IT skills
Professional manner and effective communicator with external agencies
